Heads Up Alabama Program

During the month of April in the Birmingham News was a call out to artist to decorate heads.  The program was called "Heads Up Alabama" sponsored by the Alabama Pychological Association.  Their goal was to inform the public about mental health issues through art.  Artist could sumbit two designs to be juried by a panel of judges.  Both of my designs were picked.  There are 20 heads for the project.  Here I am with the two heads.  They are fibercast casts about 3 foot high and weighing 25 pounds.  I work the whole month of June on the heads.  The website for the program is http://www.headsupalabama.org/.  The heads will be on a tour this year and into next through the state of Alabama.
