More Paintings from Lake Martin

The light house was the first painting from the lake as the we attempted the landscapes choices. I was interested in capturing the afternoon shadows as the appeared on the light house. When painting in the plein air style, it is very hard to get the colors and shadows done before you lose the light. The light will change everything. The trick is to paint fast. I am really glad that I chose this first, because the light was never the same for the rest of the week. The tree painting was painted on a very over cast day.
